Weaning without milk

Okay so my LO is bottle fed. She'll be 8 months in a couple days and while I know it's not time to wean just yet I wanted to start coming up with a game plan now and introducing more solid foods so it's not such a smack in the face to LO. Now we're  a milk free home we only use almond  milk . Humans don't need milk after infancy and i don't plan on giving it to my daughter once she's gone off the bottle. The issue I'm having is when I googled weaning all I got was "start switching your child's bottle with bottles of whole milk" so does anybody have any advice or tips they can give me..
Side note: we aren't vegan we just don't consume dairy in large quantitys like milk.i know how to eat a calcium balanced diet without it so  Please don't bother commenting saying "your child needs milk" because that's simply not true. The human body doesn't process cows milk well because it's not for humans
