Starting with OPKs. HELP!

TTC #1. Starting our 8th month.
So this month me and SO are trying OPKs for the first time. I'm thinking on starting them on CD10, since my cycles are around 29-31 days. I read the instructions and they said to test daily, at the same hour. Should I test daily or twice a day? I'm confused... TIA!
