marriage problems! :(

my husband and i got married about seven months ago. ever since we got married it's been nothing but problems. things were never like this before we got married. it's always misunderstandings, arguments, fights, insults. i can't bare to deal with this anymore, and i feel our marriage is basically just a hopeless case now. i've grown to dislike him very much. i feel like i have to try so hard to get along with him. he's a very angry and defensive person, his dad has serious anger issues and i can see that he takes after his father. i don't know what to do anymore. any advice would be helpful. i'm considering marriage counseling, do any of you have any experience with that? thanks
