Does your baby have a hemangioma?

My baby was born with a hemangioma on his head. Has anyone had a baby with one as well? How long does it take for them to go away?

My daughter was born with one on the back of her head. She is 2 now and it's completely gone and not red anymore :)

My oldest was born with one on her inner thigh in her diaper area. It ended up growing & split open which was pure hell for her. It started out deep red/purple when she was 3 wks old, but she's 5 now and is barely noticeable. They definitely fade with age even if they've ulcerated like hers did. :)

It usually grows during the first year of life and fades over time. It can appear on the face, scalp, chest, or back. Nothing to worry about unless it's near the eye or ear and doesn't go down.
