When do they start doing abdominal ultrasounds?

Just wondering at how many weeks do they stop doing transvaginal ultrasounds. Have my 12 week appt in 2 weeks wondered if would still be transvaginal

I've always had abdominal ultrasounds. First one at 8 weeks.

At my 12 week ultra sound they were able to do a normal one.

My 8wk was primarily abdominal. They asked if I wanted to also have a transvaginal to get a clearer image and double check the measurements, but everything was visible on the abdominal.

It really just depends upon your personal anatomy and where the baby is positioned.

I had abdominal and transvaginal at 8 weeks. Will be all abdominal from here out.

It shouldn't be. My 8 week appt was a vaginal u/s but the 2 ive had since have been regular ones.
