Confused someone help please

Ok so I don't know what's going on with me I was supposedly supposed to start my period the 25th of last month and when it didn't start I got hopeful that I was pregnant. Then was completely devastated when I went to the bathroom and there was bright red blood when I wiped so I put in a tampon and cried. Then not too long ago I went to the bathroom and checked it and there was like absolutely nothing on it and that's never happened before. What's going on.

Update: I checked again and there was a little more blood
