Antibiotics for group B strep??

Ugh ugh ughhhhh. I hate antibiotics and I'm so damned?

They put you on penicillin in labor. They like it to be in your system for 4 hours before you have the baby. It's not too big of a deal.

You can decline it and just ask to be monitored during and after for signs of infection. The infection comes and goes so even if you're positive when tested you may not be at the time of birth, and vice versa. Take a strong probiotic prior to birth to reduce the chance you'll have it

Just take a good probiotic after the antibiotics are done. That will restore your good bacteria. A pill form, kefir, a good yogurt, or fermented food daily.

I would definitely not decline antibiotics. Baby can get pneumonia. It's through an IV during labor so it's really not a big deal.
