Possible infection?

My boobs are swollen to the point where they're practically numb. They're extremely hard. And they hurt so bad I can barely brush my arm against them. Could this possibly be an infection?

Also take lecithin to help with clogged ducts. It has helped me so much!  I found I get lots of clogs when I get engorged. This happened when baby was just starting to sleep 5-6 hours at night.

If she won't feed get a pump and express. I had to do that on day 4 - they were so painful. I then fed her the expressed milk as are had trouble latching until day 6. See a lactation consultant if it continues, they saved us! Cabbage leaves help sooth the pain too

How long have you been breastfeeding? That sounds like engorgement to me. I pumped to take care of it.

Yes, sounds like they are engorged. Is your milk just now coming in or have you been bfing for a while? If your milk is coming in it'll feel just like you described- that pain was the one thing I was not prepared for after having a baby
