How to prepare for newborn session?

She is getting here at 11. How can we prepare and prepare him? How long does it take normal?

Make sure he's well fed right before! That way he's calm/sleepy and doesn't fuss.

Don't worry too much about it, if the photographer is coming to your home, just get yourself ready and mostly go about your day normally.  Try to have your house (or whatever room you're doing photos in) on the warmer side so she can take photos of baby naked (or just diaper on) without baby getting too cold.  If your baby cries, don't stress it.  If your photographer is experienced in newborn photography, she will work around it.  They normally plan enough time for diaper changes, extra feedings, putting baby back to sleep, etc.  Mostly, just relax and enjoy having this time period captured.  I miss my baby's newborn stage - it went by so fast.  I'm so glad I hired a newborn photographer to capture him when he was tiny.
