Getting grief for being a part-time breastfeeder

Due to low supply, I'm having to supplement with formula. I nurse my LO first then if he's still hungry I'll feed him a few more ounces.

Everyone keeps telling me I need to just let them dry up and just feed him formula, that I'll mess him up going back and forth.

I feel bad enough that I have to feed him some formula as it is, i get so upset that i haven't been able to make enough milk. but I'm certain some breast milk is better than none at all. Either way he is healthy, fed and happy.

Any other part time breastfeeder's at there? Are people giving you hell too
