young and smoking? really that bad?

is it really bad to start smoking cigarett at young age ? i know a lot of people who smoked a lot when they were young and they are fine , and they still look fresh and not sick at all?

Asking this question means yes... Too young to smoke. Also, if aesthetics are what's concerning you then do some research. Just because someone doesn't look like shit when they smoke doesn't mean their insides aren't shit. It's a filthy, disgusting, expensive habit that serves no good purpose at all.

Of course it's bad. It's awful. My aunt just died of lung cancer. From smoking. She quit years and years ago but smoke when she was young and the damage was already done.

I wish I had never started, I was 20 when I did and now 28 I am finding it very difficult to quit smoking,  the chemicals in cigarettes are not good for your and can affect fertility. Along with that you can get sick easier, last year I got strep throat 6 times. It hurts your lungs, and can cause cancer. I am on what I hope to be my last pack. Taking care if your health is more important than anything else.

I wish I never started smoking. I started smoking at 16 and didn't quit until this year at 26 and it was the hardest things I've ever done. I had tried to quit many times before. Yeah, I may "seem" fine now, but I have no idea that kind of damage I put my body through. The whole time I smoked, I felt awful and just wished I could quit. I feel so much better now that I have, but I just wish I would have done it a lot sooner

Smoking cigarettes is one of the worst things anyone can do to their body. Your lungs never fully function again after smoking for awhile. Not only can smoking cigarettes cause lung cancer, it is also the most common cause of bladder cancer. It can cause chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), emphysema, chronic bronchitis, throat cancer, neck cancer, and many more problems. Not worth it.

It's just that it's so so hard to stop. Addiction happens fast and it's not easy to overcome. You end up relying on cigs to feel normal and not jittery. That's handing over your power and feeling good to something that is a poison. It's not worth it, I wish I had listened to people's advice and never started. You think you're not going to get addicted and need it, but it will happen anyways.
