Which do you prefer?

Do you prefer a humidifier, an air purifier, or something else in your baby's room?

When my son was young we went through several humidifiers, but they always got mold so easily. We cleaned them often and changes filters. In our house now, we have air purifiers in several rooms and love them.

Which do you think is best for baby?

They do two different things don't they?  A humidifier adds moisture to the air whereas a purifier cleans the junk (like allergens) out of the air.
Completely different functions so can't really compare in my mind...

First you should buy a humidity meter to see the level in your baby's room, It must be between 40% to 60% if it is below that you need a humidifier if it is above that you need a dehumidifier.
The purifier is to clean the air from germs, dust and smells and you can have him regardless your humidity levels.
I use dehumidifier because my humidity level is about 75% and that is the good days....

You should have natural humidity unless you have a brand new house were they sealed it off really well. Air purifier sounds great. You kinda got me thinking about getting one. Sounds like it could only help. I would think humidifier for colds or sick times maybe

In my home we could use both as we are in Alberta. We only have humidifiers right now. I have the cool mist one that does not need a filter which work great!

Do you live out west. We live in Mississippi we don't need humidifiers here. What is the purifier for. Do you have lots of dust or animal dander?
