Tips for sleeping through the night?

I'm expecting my first baby in September. My boyfriend works on a farm and wakes up very early to get animals fed and stays out late working in the fields.. I want him to still be able to get as much sleep as he possible can when babies born. Just curious if anyone has some helpful tips on getting baby to sleep through the night quicker?:)

White noise, swaddle, and bedtime routine! Also not picking them up at every little noise they make. Mine started sleeping through the night, 9-10 hours, at 9 weeks.

Get into a routine. It helped me to turn all lights off at Night, and only turn the nightlight on when she wakes. She's gotten into a habit of cluster feeding before bed, so she wakes less frequently. I get up still to wake her, but it helps prevent her fussing so my partner can sleep through the night

One thing I've noticed is if you are breastfeeding and doing night duty anyway  (or planning on doing night duty for whatever reason), if you get baby right when he starts moving around oftentimes my husband won't wake up at all. Also learning how to keep it as dark as possible. I used my phone to latch baby at night so it wasn't too bright.

I suggest starting with an early bedtime. I start the bedtime routine around 630-7 depending on if we do a bath. By 8pm the twins are sleeping(usually) then I go to bed right after them. They usually get the longest stretch of sleep at the beginning. My boys don't wake up until 1ish. Then I feed them and they sleep until 330 or so before they wake up again.

Get a loud white noise machine, and do a night feeding right before you put them down. That's always helped us. My daughter slept through all the fireworks going off on the 4th of July because of her sound machine.

My son is now 5.5mos old and is a great sleeper! Always has been. I worked really hard to get him there though. He was already sleeping through the night by 6 weeks. A good daytime routine will really set baby up for great night time sleep. Also it is important to get your baby's days and nights sorted out right away. Do you plan on breastfeeding? Cosleeping? Own crib/room? These things will all play a part.

I've tried everything and my son still won't sleep anymore than 3-4 hours at a time. He also thinks night is day, and he has colic and goes hours of crying. You really won't know till baby is born of how much sleep you'll get. My partner has been sleeping on couch and i sleep in room with baby so he can get sleep for work. Good luck momma to be❤️

My husband has to be up at 330 am for work and I've offer for him to sleep in the guest room but he doesnt want to be away from us so he takes unisom every night to help him sleep through the night and it seems to be working he wakes up very minimal. Goodluck
