You need to decide if having children is a deal breaker or not. If you really want kids and he doesn't it's not fair for either of you to attempt to change the others mind. If it is a deal breaker you need to go your separate ways because one of you will begin to resent the other for feeling trapped. My husband has a kid from his first marriage and I asked him literally 30 seconds after we become official if he wanted more children because I knew I wanted them.
