PCOS and UTIs?

Please help!

I got a really bad UTI about 3 weeks ago. It lasted for over a week. It finally went away, and my period came, two weeks late. My period just ended on Saturday, and I had sex Friday night, Saturday night, and Sunday night. Despite peeing after sex each time, yesterday, which is Monday NZ time, I noticed I was starting to get another UTI. It's now Tuesday night, and the symptoms are worsening. I used to get frequent mild UTIs when I was younger, and I was recently diagnosed with PCOS.

My question is, is there an association with PCOS and UTIs? Why do I keep getting them? Any advice for preventing them? I've been quite miserable these past few weeks, any advice is greatly appreciated!
