Please, ask questions

Flo

I'm not trying to be mean but I'm just tired of people using drugs and having sex without doing the work to be safe. So here's a few tips on how you should safely approach these decisions (in my opinion):

If you're getting on birth control or already on it

-Do some research on how BC works and the type you're interested in (start with the actual brand websites or your hospitals)

-Ask your doctor questions

-Ask for info pages if they aren't already giving you some

-Do some research on the type/brand you've been prescribed (brand website first, then trusted sites

-Read the package, medications come with warnings and instructions for a reason

If you need to get Plan B

-Read the package, it has warnings and instructions for a reason

-Ask the pharmacist questions

-Do some research on how it works and what it does to your body after taking it (again, brand sites, credible medical sites, hospital site)

If you're planning/starting to have sex

-Do some research (especially if you didn't have proper sex ed or pay attention)

-Talk to your doctor to get info on being safe and normal reactions or issues related to periods

-Talk to your partner before you do

-If either of you have had multiple partners and/or unprotected sex in the past, get tested to be safe and careful

-Make sure you're both ready for the big decision you're making

If you're having pains/discharge/anything that go on for a long period and you don't know what it is or it is troubling you

-Talk to your doctor, chronic pains are not good and can be a sign of a bigger issue.

Hell even if you just started your periods or have weird issues, just do some research or call your doctor and ask about it (it's free and accurate and they are the safest person to tell you when you need to start worrying).

Be safe people, you only get one body and you should be aware of what you're putting into it and who. You should know the normal things your body will go through for the next few decades. Do the work. eve is a start but we aren't doctors and some of us are working with out dated information.

Good luck everyone 💕
