formula to breast milk advice?

I really want my baby to be fed breast milk, I'm producing enough to give him some from my boob, I've been trying for days to make it work, he has a great suckle and feeds well. Minus he doesn't open wide enough so I'm in constant pain, so the latch isn't good, I've tried a lot to make it work, but I can no longer take it. I've started to pump, just still not quite enough to bottle feed. I've been giving him formula for the last day, while pumping and dumping. Do you ladies think if I keep pumping to keep increasing my supply? I'll be able to get him if formula bottle feeding, and do breast milk bottle feeding? Has anyone done this? I'm okay with formula feeding until I can produce enough to switch.  Thank you

Pumps can only get out a fraction of what a baby can. I personally wasnt able to do it. When my daughter was drinking 6oz of milk, i was only pumping 2-3oz at a time so it took me 2-3 pumping sessions to produce 1 bottle for her. You really shouldn't be dumping your milk even if you dont think its enough because you can always save them and then mix them to make 1 bottle from different sessions. Plus i have also heard that exclusively pumping tends to dry out your milk faster so i would recommend that you try to work on the latch instead, maybe use a nipple shield? Having the baby on the boob as often as possible is going to help with keeping your supply up

I'm sure you can.. But why are you dumping the milk your pumping???? Freeze it! Baby can have it later. 
Also, make sure you're pumping how often baby eats so that your body knows how much milk you need.
