Am I just paranoid or...??

My boyfriend and I had sex (with condom) on Aug 12. It was my first time. Today (24th) is the last day in my usual 28 day cycle, but according to eve my period is late by one day. Should I be concerned or is it just paranoia since it was my first time? I don't know what to do.. Please help 😔

Bwaha, I've been in your shoes, girl. If the condom didn't break, you're totally fine. I stressed myself like crazy over my period and it was just two days late. My stress definitely had a part in delaying it, lol. Drove me crazy... 😩

I think most girls go through the first period after first sex worries. I know I definitely did! I think it's a good thing you are aware of the consequences of being sexually active now.

I wouldn't worry though, you used protection so you won't be pregnant. Just know when you first become sexually active that can mess your period up a little, also stress and worry can delay your period. I would assume that's what your experiencing now.

1. You used a condom, so unless it broke or wasn't on correctly you're most likely not pregnant.
2. Sex can mess with women's periods, meaning make it come sooner or later.
3. Your period is only one day off, not really enough to be freaking out.
4. Period cycles aren't set in stone, especially when you're young. They change for so many reasons either short term or long term.
5. Stressing about this will only delay your period further, calm down and let your body do its thing.
6. If you miss your period wait a week and take a test. But it could be missed for a few reasons outside of being pregnant.
