Water breaking ?

First time mom- I thought I had to go poop, sorry tmi. But when I sat down on the toilet all that came out was fluid, not pee. I smelled it as well and it has absolutely no smell. But it wasn't a lot and now I just have a Tiny wet feeling but no contractions? How soon after water breaking do contractions usually start ?

Usually your contractions start before your water breaks.

with my first , my contractions didn't start until after my water broke and I had her within a hour or two but with my second , I was having contractions first then my water broke and I ended up having her within 5-10mins after that. so it can go either way.. depends on how nature wants to take its course. good luck.!

My water broke and 15 minutes later the contractions came. We live about 7 minutes from the hospital and by the time we got there, they were unbearable.

I was having annoying back pain with my first and lightly leaking for about 6 hours before I realized it could be labor. It felt like I was setting myself just enough to dampen my undies because the hole in my waters was that small. The back pain apparently had been contractions. You can call your Dr to set an appointment to teat for amniotic fluid.
