Late Period, then cramps and light spotting..

My period is 13 days late. I took a pregnancy test about a week ago (first response) and it came back negative. Today I am spotting, VERY lightly but I have cramps that are threatening to kill me. A few women close to me have suggested getting an EPT brand test and see what happens from there. Has anyone else experienced this series of symptoms? Could i be pregnant even though last week's test was negative? Help me 😫
