Anyone else disappointed with "the future"?

What's one thing that you thought would happen after 2000 or even 2010 but didn't or maybe just your first world problems

I thought by now there would be a cream/lotion that would literally disintegrate the fat from the body. Why the hell has no one made such a thing yet???

I continuously wish for people not to dictate what I can and can't do with my body.

No deodorant is underboob strength.

Microwaves don't have a silence button, in fact the manufacturers decided a better idea was to make them continue to ring out unless the door it open.

Diet pills don't work.

Societal progression is slow as always in the way of expectations.

Convenience, selfishness and pollution is up. Meanwhile morality and positivity is seemingly down.

I could go on I suppose...

I'm in my 40s so I remember rotary phones. Personally I think my childhood was better than kids have it today. Technology may be convenient but it stresses us out and makes us impatient.  I never thought about future in terms of what would exist but what my life might be and I went thru disappointment in my 30s but after your mid life crisis you tend to start appreciating life for what it is.

I thought the future would be full of people who were more supportive and more understanding of other people. I find that in this present time, the world has just as many hypocrites, assholes, and hateful people.

There is a lot to be disappointed with...yes....

-^^- Honestly? I'm just glad I made it as far as I have....to have my loving husband...to have my first child, my little boy on the way....

....there were so many times thst I thought something would happen to me and I wouldn't ever make it this far....sure, we've come really far in terms of technological advancement and many other things.

But really? ^^ I'm just looking forward to raising my family to be *good people*. :) That is what I look forward to with this future. ^^

I honestly think it's much better technology wise than I anticipated.

Sure I don't have a hover board(a real one like in back to the future, not those wheeled kind that explode), but  what I do have is better. I have instant access to everything in the palm of my hand.

Maybe it's because I'm old enough to remember when cell phones were just a rich persons toy, but my iPhone still seems like something out of a science fiction novel to me sometimes.
