is BV cause by a sexually transmitted disease?? how do you know you have it and how do you get rid of it? what were your symptoms?

BV isn't always spread through sexual contact but it can be. Just because you have BV doesn't mean you got it from a sexual partner. It's not an STD or an STI. I've had it multiple times during my pregnancy. It's an overgrowth of bacteria in the vagina. You just go to the Drs and get on antibiotics, once it clears you'll usually get a yeast infection. Symptoms vary but when I had it, my symptoms were yellowish/greenish dishcharge and a fishy smell. Relax, it you have BV it isn't an STD or STI just go to your doctors and get medicine 😊

Boric acid suppositories work wonders 👌🏽. However, here’s a possible more long term solution. 
I’ve been battling recurring BV for months. Usually symptoms started 1-2 days after sex. Feels a little uncomfortable in my vagina but nothing crazy. But I was getting this lower left back pain — what felt like a sharp pain from my kidney over working to clear out my body. 
My fam has a history of kidney issues so I think the weak part of my body was feeling the pain first. This seems uncommon though.. you may never get back pain from BV. 
Last time I went to the gyno my doc said that in the past the opinion in the medical field was BV is transferable between partners. Then the opinion shifted so for a long time it’s been considered “a women problem”. Apparently, the opinion is shifting back again and my doc recommended that my partner and I both get antibiotics treatment. 
And guess what?! It’s gone. Haven’t reoccurred for weeks. Try treating both you and the partner together.

No it's not a std.  Some may say it's a sti though,  Ive had reoccurring bv since I was 12 . My ph is easily thrown off  and anything can set it off I usually get a fishy odor and increased discharge.
