Spotting then testing?

When can I test? I've been spotting for 3 days now, and it's seemed to stop. I spotted when my period was due, but it's brown. Everywhere I've read about it says implantation bleeding, since I missed my actual period. When can I test?

I'm spotting off and on the past three days my period is due tomorrow and I tested bfn so I don't know I figured it would be negative because I usually have to be day three of missed period before it shows positive I just want to see if it would show bfp. So I will test here in three to four days hopefully it will be bfp fingers crossed
