Birth control

Me n hubby want our babies 1 year and a half apart or 2 , im almost due with baby #1 but i want to take birth control pills after i have her since my SO sucks at pull out method lol. But ive heard so many bad experiences with birth control like how hard it was to try to conceive.. Any advice?
