I am having my first baby in few months Sometimes my fears keep me up at night. Will I be able to provide for my child as a graduate student? Will my partner be a good father? Will my current cortisol levels impact my baby's brain? How will I handle labor pains? Etc. :/
But this blog post - and talking with other women - helps me realize that it is normal to be afraid. Accepting this helps me release some fears. It is true that motherhood is a critical responsibility for our families/world, but I believe mothers are strong and intuitive. I hope I can plug into that primal knowledge to best possible under good times and bad... xo.
