What do you guys think? Should your SO post you on their social media or is it a red flag if they don't?

It depends. If your S/O barely uses social media and never posts pics I don't see why you'd be bothered by them not posting about you. But if they're social media junkie and post everything about their lives on the internet but go out of their way to never mention or post about you then you might have a problem.

Let me tell you... i'm 16. Just left year 11, going in to college. I met my boyfriend in year 8 and i'm STILL with him. We never really post anything on social media unless we've went somewhere new or occassions or pictures. TBH social media could get too involved in your  relationship and you don't want that...

Not everyones life totally revolves around social media. I know lots of people who rarely post anything about their personal life or SO.

I don't want to be "that" person but I'm going to be. Don't be so naive ladies. If your boyfriend doesn't show that he's with you on any of his accounts, he's hiding something. Plain and simple. Especially if he pulls the whole "it's just social media, who cares" -- THEY ALL SAY THAT. And a lot of them have persuaded YOU that. There is a big difference between keeping your business offline versus keeping your entire relationship offline. If there's no evidence that you two are together it's because he doesn't want there to be. I learned the hard way.

Why do people let social media run their relationship?

I see nothing wrong with it. I personally don't because I've got my social media and he's got his so I don't feel the need to. But I don't mind him uploading my pictures.

Honestly it means nothing...are you in a relationship for show or because you truly want to be there? Do yall go out together in public...if so I wouldn't be worried.

My husband will occasionally share a family picture. We're both a little too busy with our jobs and family to be worried about making sure we post pictures of each other to let people know we're still a happy couple 😂

Studies have shown that the more people fawn over their relationship on social media, the more insecure they actually are in their relationship. Two of my friends were constantly posting about their great husbands (and the husbands posted about their amazing wives). Both are now divorced.

If you need social media to validate the solidity of your relationship, something is wrong IMO. I say, look at how he usually posts about stuff and if the relationship stuff is consistent with that, no worries.

For example, my SO barely posts anything, and when he does it's not related to his personal life. Time he could be spending writing about me for his friends to read is spent cooking me dinner or fixing stuff that's bugging me around the house. I think it's a much more useful way to spend relationship time.
