do you believe in fate like this?

I've always believed in the traditional kind of love, you meet somebody and you know you want to wake up to them and even though you haven't even spoke you feel something. I don't want to sound like I'm talking about love that happens in movies but I've always been brought up on, 'when you know you know' I went to a coffee shop today and there's a guy, who works there and he caught my eye as soon as I sat down. He was lovely, polite and at first he was just one of those people who made my day? just genuine; but as time went on the amount of times he looked at me and I looked at him were crazy, endless amounts of times; it's never happened that much before. He even winked at me when he asked me, not my friend if everything was okay. I know it sounds stupid and I doubt anyone will read this. But I just want to know if any of you believe in fate because my other friend asked me to go to that very same coffee shop tomorrow at the same time I went today. I promised myself if he was there I would hand him my number on a napkin, something like that. I don't know if it sounds strange but it felt so real then. Honestly. I just think it might be fate and I don't want to miss out on that chance but at the same time, will I be heartbroken?
