What would you do if your SO wasn't helping out as much as he should with your little ones?

My husband isn't helping out with our daughter as much as I think he should. For the past 3 days he's been off of work and I've been working all day/dealing with a sinus infection so I haven't been up to par. During the day he gives our 7 month old to my mother in law (his mom), and at night (after a 10hr shift might I add) he gives her to me to be up at all hours taking care of her. I don't want to start a fight but at the same time I feel like I need to tell him how I feel. I understand not being able to help as much when he works because he works 12 hour shifts 13 days in a row. Help!
