First relationship

So I am 20 years old and I finally found someone who makes me really happy. He's older and has kids, which I adapted to really fast. We have been together for about two months and he was my first. Well my problem is that he can literally go without sex... But I on the other hand think he is so attractive and it's really hard sometimes to resist him. So the other day I wanted to have sex but he did not, but he did anyway just to please me and then after he apologized and said he wasn't that into it.... I felt like I'm not attractive enough for him. He is a gentleman, he opens up the car door for me, holds my hand, tells me I'm beautiful, and that I'm awesome, but barely talks or text me when we aren't together. It's really confusing. Am I just being paranoid because it's my first real relationship with an older man? Or is my insecurities making me overthink things?
