6 week ultrasound and heartbeat?

So I have had 3 blood draws, the last one being 6 days ago, and the nurse called today and said my numbers have been going up appropriately and they wanted to do an ultrasound to confirm GA and viability. Is that normal? My appointment is for Monday and I should be 6 weeks exactly. My question is, has anyone had an ultrasound at 6 weeks exactly and not seen the heartbeat and have their baby be fine? I just don't know what to expect.

I saw heartbeats at about 5w/6d on both my babies but my dr always said that's really early and you just need to see by 8 weeks. So if you don't see at this visit don't stress

We couldn't see a heartbeat at 6 weeks; just the gestational & yolk sacs. 2 days later we were able to see and hear the heartbeat though. It doesn't sound like anything too unusual for them to be wanting to do an ultrasound to check for viability. I had 3 US doe within the span of just 6 days to keep checking for progress and I'm now 39 weeks along with our perfect little lady. ☺️

Mine wasn't at 6 but 7+5. It took them a few minutes to find baby since was so small still but there was a visible heartbeat once they did. Heartbeat was around 165.

My first scan with this pregnancy was at 6 weeks 4 days, with babys bpm being 115 which the u.tech said was great.

My 1st ultrasound was @ 7w2d & they found baby right away w/ a heart rate of 143, we could easily see the flicker of the heart, this was an abdominal ultrasound, for u since it will be so early they'll probably do transvaginal, if for whatever reason they don't find the heartbeat they will just have u come back again in a week or two, definitely don't take it as a bad sign!
