breastfeeding Struggle! 😩
Baby V is 10 days old and is currently exclusively having breastmilk via bottle. I pump every 2 hours like clockwork to build my milk supply and meet her demands. However, latching and breastfeeding has been near impossible. I've worked with several LC and they've provided positioning help, nipple sheilds/gaurds, recommended I continue to pump, do skin to skin, and keep my spirits high saying, "it will get easier; it's a learning curb for the both of you". But does it?
I really want to breastfeed however she kicks, screams bloody murder when faced with my nipple and turns bright red in anger. My outlook on BF is slowly diminishing and I'd like to know what some of you have done to overcome these types of obstacles.
I've read every LLL, KellyMom, etx "article" on the topic and still find myself at a roadblock. My emotions are definitely getting the best of me.
Any pointers, advice & feedback would be greatly appreciated!
