Trying to Conceive

So my fiancé and I have been trying to conceive for about 3 months now and nothing. I'm getting a little impatient 😰. But I just had a question... I have never gotten regular periods when I wasn't on birth control. And when I stopped birth control about 2 years ago they started to stretch out as far as 3 and 4 months at a time. The last bleeding I've had recently was April 12-17... But it's always been a regular flow same amount of days just different times in between. Well in July I "spotted" for only 3 days.. It was weird because I had NEVER spotted and 3 days was considerably shorter than any period. But that was about 5 days after doing the deed trying to get pregnant, so I read online it could be "attachment bleeding".. Totally got my hopes up I guess considering I've taken multiple pregnancy tests reading negative. I've taken an ovulation test and it read positive but I never got my period after it. (Thought you ovulated before menstruating) is there anyone out there with the same issue of TTC & irregular periods? How did you keep positive vibes? I'm trying to hold it together, and I know 3 months of TTC isn't anything, but we're just so ready!
