Possible Chemical Pregnancy? 😖

So, last night I had really bad cramping and went to the bathroom to discover light pink spotting. Of course I was a little excited thinking this could maybe be implantation bleeding, even if it's rare. (Backstory- TTC 2mo, 1st baby, today is 12dpo, AF due 7/11) Overnight I woke up around 1am with really bad cramping (I needed a heating pad to eventually fall asleep) and had started bleeding a little more. I ended up taking a First Response Early test and it had a faint pink line! (Picture below was darker in person)  I'm still not getting my hopes up because it is still a little early and could be a false positive or whatnot. Fast forward to this morning. Cramping on and off and sometimes pretty painful. I'm bleeding more but not a full on period at this point. I took another pregnancy test and it was negative. Has anyone had anything similar? Could that have just been a false positive earlier or possibly a chemical pregnancy? I went off the bc pill 3 months ago after being on it for 5.5 years so I'm still getting reacquainted to cramping and full on AF symptoms. :/ Any insight is extremely appreciated. I was starting to think of how to tell my husband were pregnant but it looks like I'll only have the news that we'll have to try again next month. :/ thanks ladies.
