do I really have PCOS? confused

Historically I've had irregular periods. But over the last year my cycles have been pretty regular. In May we conceived (accidentally) and were over the moon. However I had a MC in July. Afterwhich the Dr diagnosed me with PCOS. I have cysts on my ovaries but my blood work came back completely clear. I started on metformin and have had a period. But I can't help but think that I don't actually have PCOS. would it be possible to have polycystic ovaries but not have the syndrome?

If you got put on metformin then unfortunately your bloodwork wouldnt have been clear, its not something a dr will give someone without proper reason
And yea you can have cysts but not have pcos but to be classified as having pcos you need at least 2 of the symptoms which you do have

I was put on metformin with clear blood work but ultrasound showed poly cystic ovaries. I don't have many of the classic symptoms but I do have the irregularly long cycles (35-37 days typically). Maybe mild case? Whatever the case may be, I got pregnant very quickly on  metformin. so for anyone TTC, it worked.

You probably only have PCO... I was originally told I had PCOS blood work came back and it was clear but I still got put on metformin  too this was to help me with weight loss as I've always struggled with weight even if I did eat and exercise perfectly for months. So it helps with being insulin resistant! And helps your blood sugar. It's a common tablet to be given if you have PCOS or even PCO you don't need the syndrome

I got disgnosed with pcos a month ago and strrted metformin. Testosterone, estrogen, everything was within limits. But ive had cysts before (ouch). Not fat, not many pimples, and VERY REGULAR 26 day periods. One doc said pcos. Another said mild. Idk but i assume so. Pco
