Is it just me or just him or us both?

Okay, so I was just curious about something. Whenever my husband and I have sex, most of the time it's really hard for me to orgasm from it unless we use a vibrator or such. He usually has to either use his hand or give me oral prior to us being intimate. 
Our usual sex feels very nice, but it just never gets me there. Often times he orgasms after about 5 minutes or so (which I've read is normal, and perhaps average?) 
But clearly it leaves me a little dissatisfied at times. 
I do communicate with him during intercourse about how to move or where it feels the nicest, but it doesn't always work. 
My question was: I'm pretty thick around my thighs, so could it be that he just can't reach all the way to my G-spot or something? 
I'm honestly just curious to know if it's possible that my legs are just too close together or if that has nothing to do with it?

Have you tried different positions? Doggy is a great way for him to get deeper!

It's more about angle than anything. Different positions will make it easier/harder for him to hit it just like they'll make it easier/harder to penetrate deeper. I've read that a lot of women find it helps to prop up their lower back or butt with a pillow or something so that he's angled more in the direction to hit it. Things like that, you know? Doggy is good for that as well but resting on your forearms or just face down is going to be different than being on all fours. You just have to figure out what works and feels best for you.

I have the same problem. My thighs are thicker then they used to be and it does feel different for me since they got bigger. I do feel like they get in the way! But that's not to say that that is the reason behind it. I might be wrong but I'm sure it's harder to get girls to orgasm? I might be completely wrong though.

I read this article that said men orgasm in 2.5 minutes and women take 12 minutes or more so there's definitely a gap that can cause us to not reach satisfaction. The article gave suggestions as to how to bridge this gap.  Extensive foreplay and such ....basically what you describe doing....is the key. So I think you're on the right track. As far as thick thighs go.... I don't think that's it. If your DH could last longer, you could probably get an orgasm from just sex without the extra foreplay.
