any symptoms similar? (bleeding stool/colon issue)

So I've been having blood when I wipe after a stool for two months and I went to my pediatrician and she said it was a hemorrhoid. Yesterday I went to a gastroenterologist (about two weeks prior to the last appointment) and he said there is NO hemorrhoid now although I'm still having the same small amount of blood after I wipe and my stool are 'mucusy' on the outside. (Fairly hard formed stool which was the cause of so-called hemorrhoid) the syliac test was negative. I'm getting a colonoscopy on Monday has anyone had a similar experience? If so what was the result?
