how do I leave?

Hi ladies! I'm writing this in confidence because I need insight, bad. I'm currently in a relationship with a guy that I have been with for three years. And these last few months have been really hard. I just don't feel like he's the same man I fell in love with. I'm simply miserable. We live at his mothers house with her, his sister, and his niece. We are financing a car together. I simply want out and I'm at a loss because one, I don't know how to leave. I'm always the one that gets left. And two, our vehicle. It's in both of our names, but guess who makes a majority of the payments.. you guessed it. Me. I don't really have anywhere to go, I just know that I cannot be here anymore. I can't deal with being treated like crap, talked to however he feels like talking to me. And him expecting me to wait on him hand and foot, and if I don't, he turns into a giant man-child. I'm just stuck. I do not know what to do, and like I said in the beginning, I could really use some insight. Thank you in advance.

What do you mean you have no where to go? Are you working? Maybe you do not need to break it off, but at least gain your independence!! Why are you living with his family, especially if you don't like it! Find your own place, girl, focus on you and your future!

I think you already know what you need to do. As for doing it, you just need to gather the courage and leave. You can't stay this way forever, so it has to be done. Before you do anything though make sure you have some sort of a living arrangement in place and everything else figured out. It's better to live alone than to constantly be treated as if you're nothing. If you're worried about your car, don't be-- if he's not pitching in now I doubt he will after, so things won't really change there.
