Skin-To-Skin after C-section

My second baby was an emergency c-section and he went straight to the NICU after birth so I didn't even get to see him. For my third baby I really want to do skin-to-skin almost immediately after birth. I figured since I will also be doing a tubal ligation after birth that will give me more opportunity for skin-to-skin time. I know there's not really that many negative effects if I don't do it right away, I just want that immediate bond. Has anyone else done skin-to-skin after a cesarean birth? Please share your experience!
