Braxton Hicks? Dilating?

Question

I've been having tons of Braxton hicks for the past week now (I've had them previous, but not so many like I am now) like crazy. I'll have at least 6-7 a day, they don't hurt but they are intense. I heard that it could mean that some women are dialating and I don't get checked until I'm 36 weeks and right now Im 35 weeks and go in Tuesday for my weekly appointment. Should I ask if my OB can check?

36 weeks tomorrow and today they checked me and im 4cm dilated and 70% effaced. 😳 
They won't induce me until 39 weeks though if she doesn't come on her own. 😩

I have been having them for a couple weeks more frequently and got checked yesterday at 36 weeks and am at a 0.

You could always call and let them know what's going on. That's what I did when I had 4 days straight of painless contractions and they admitted me into the hospital to monitor them. Turned out they were actual contractions and the pain didn't start till I was actually in the hospital. So definitely call and ask and see what your OB says.

Most don't check until full term which is 37 weeks I'm 37 weeks and I get them back to back too many to count in a day but I don't get checked until next week at 38 weeks along!

Same here tons of Braxton hicks and even some cramping but nothing at my 36 week exam still a zero but my cervix is really soft so the OB said they are doing their job...

I have several BH a day.. more than 10.. and that's been going on for a few weeks now. I'm still closed and Dr told me yesterday that I'm -3 which means my Bubs is still really really high up 😲

I'm 36 weeks and I've been having a ton of Braxton hicks as well. Doc checked my cervix today and nothing! He said Braxton hicks usually don't cause dialation but can help soften cervix to help dialation to begin.. Which was confusing to me but lol I'm not dilated or anything and having Braxton hicks constantly
