A woman who suffered a traumatic head injury that resulted in a stroke was declared brain dead and is being kept on life support because she is 16 weeks pregnant. Her family wishes to withdraw care. Doctors refuse to due to anti abortion laws that Ireland has in place. This is a very loose synopsis with information left out because you need to research the stories on your own in order to form an intelligent opinion/argument. Think about these things as you are reading: human rights, the baby's rights, moms rights, death with dignity, ethics, and the law in general. Also, do not just take the side of whether or not you are for or against abortion because anyone can just go back to previous posts and find that out, this is a different topic than pro-life vs. pro-choice, because neither the mother or the baby have a choice in what happens.
