When did you start buying baby items?

Were FTP..... Me & my husband have been trying for 4+ yrs to get pregnant , now that we are , we are SOOOO impatient to buy stuff 😂 when did you start buying the big items? (Crib, stroller, etc.)

Honestly, if you find a good deal on something buy it! Whenever you are ready to buy stuff! I believe we started at 8 weeks. We got the crib for half off ($70) and the bassinet was half off as well ($65)! Then we gradually kept buying every time a pay would come in! Then at 20 weeks we started buying diapers! I'm now 29 weeks and his nursery is so overcrowded lol! He has all his big items (dresser, crib, Bassinet, glider, play gym, 2 playards (ones at my parents 3 hours away), an owl rocking horse, some blankets, some clothes, some toys etc...we also painted his nursery at 19 weeks! Our shower is next Saturday the 24th! So I've stopped "buying" lol! But whenever you feel the time is right you go ahead and buy whatever you need for that baby because let me tell you, it is never ending lol!

I didn't buy anything until after our baby showers so we knew what we would still need. But if you are excited, shop when you want! There is no rule that says you have to wait to celebrate your baby 😊

The day I found out we were having a boy! Which was at 18 weeks. Went out and bought some little outfits.

We waited until 12 weeks, then we were gifted a lot of items when we announced, I didn't actually buy anything really. Unfortunately, we said goodbye to Bub at 17 weeks. Then I had this fear that when I got pregnant again i would be paralyzed by anxiety and unable to contemplate a nursery. So I actually have almost completed my nursery now. I painted and set up all the stuff we were given. This way if I can't do it when I am pregnant again, I don't have to worry as it's already done. Don't let the "first trimester" fear get you. If you feel like starting to decorate and buy things then you should do so. There is no "right time". You should celebrate every moment of this pregnancy!! Wishing you a happy, healthy 9 months.

If you can afford it buy stuff whenever you want. I was so excited because we tried for a year and half and we bought stuff early. There is nothing wrong with it. It's fun!

I've bought diapers, wipes and some clothes (and a used boba wrap) and I'm 25 weeks. My inlaws are buying baby girls furniture. We are waiting to buy any other big items until after our baby showers in october so we don't buy things unnecessarily

Start buying pampers and wipes now usually when there's a sale but wait for the big stuff until after shower. Besides you don't need most of it for the first 3 months. Buying early will cause you to buy things you feel obligated to use later because you have it
