Vaginal Bleeding

So this is the 2nd time it has happened.

I wake up and my panties are full of blood as if I have started my period. I shower, go about my day, wear a pad, but there is no bleeding later on in the day. Plus I wasn't due to start my period any time soon.

The 2nd time it happened I had sex that night, but there was no bleeding during sex or directly after either.

My last period was 2 weeks long. I chalked it up to hormone imbalance or change, because I hadn't had a different period in a while so I thought it was just my hormones changing. Now IDK what to think with this random bleeding plus the long period.

Anyone ever experience this or have advice. I have a Gyno appointment scheduled soon too so no worries there.
