Dumb temping question

Hi! I'm going to start temping during my next cycle if this one doesn't result in my bfp. It's a little daunting I have to say, but each month I'm trying to up my game with new tricks and the next step for me is temping. If I were smart I would have done this months before ttc to get a feel for my body. Anyway, my question is:
​I've read that you should take it when you first wake up before doing anything and have been asleep for 3-4 hours prior. But a lot if times I wake up and move around in bed in the early morning before my alarm goes off and then fall back asleep for an hour. So then when I would want to take it I wasn't asleep for 3 straight hours before taking. It's just that this time when I slightly wake up isn't very reliable otherwise I would just plan to do it then. Does this make sense or am I reading too much into it?
