I'm honestly hurt (long story)

Look, I am not one to talk about my problems when it comes to my husband. Even if it is my husband who is the problem, but I am hurt. He is currently working overseas and we have always had a hard time communicating when he is away. He is terrible at texting, let alone answering the phone. We have been married for 5 years now and have two beautiful children. I just thought this time would be different. Well, tonight he had the day off and we talked for a few hours on and off. Then, he said he needed to go eat and was hoping to go check out some of the sights. Honestly, that isn't a big deal. I was just a bit whiny to be honest and just wanted to make sure he stayed in touch for when the kids went to bed. Well, when my daughter was ready to sleep, i texted him to tell him. No answer. I saw he opened it, but nothing. I text him again asking where he was. Same thing. Next, my son was getting cranky and I knew he needed to go to bed. Again, I asked where he was. I put my son to bed and called. I told him the kids were in bed and i, unfortunately, began questioning him about where he was. He got angry with me and started to raise his voice. I guess the connection lagged because he was calming down as i was saying that he can't speak to me that way. He hung up on me, which is something that I have repeatedly said was disrespectful and to please not do. I called him back to tell him that our son was still awake and he could say goodnight. Well, he took that as me using our child against him to get him to speak with me. It was a huge misunderstanding but he called me a bitch and told me how convenient it was that our son just so happens to be awake. He hung up and I haven't heard from him since. I am just so hurt. * i texted him explaining my half and apologized for the part i played* i don't really have friends so thank you for reading this.
