Contractions at 35 and 6??

Hey everyone! So I've been having some braxton hicks contractions but today was different. I had around 7 in an hr, felt like he was balling up and my abdomen got extremely tight. Also having some cramping on the right side. I took a bath and drank some water and they have kinda slowed down. They don't necessarily Hurt all the time either. Has anyone else had this happen? I called and they said to just monitor them. This is my first pregnancy so I don't want to put him under any stress....
