start of labor?

Is anyone else having constant mild menstrial like cramping? I'm having that now at 38 weeks pregnant. But I can't time them because it's seriously just a constant feeling, no definite start/stop. Anyone know what this could be?

I am also 38w. I've been having period like cramps for the past week. They're becoming stronger & more consistent. I've only lost my mucus plug
(3 times), but still no sign of my bloody show. Just continually playing the waiting game. But I'm happy to wait until baby's due date.

I've been having them for about a week. They are starting to get stronger. At first, like you, I couldn't tell when one began or ended, but as they get stronger, I can tell. Mine are still irregular but there's a definite beginning and end to it.

I'm 38 weeks now and have had this type of pain for a few hours every day since about 36 weeks I get low back pain with it as well. I've had two appointments since it started and doctor said it's normal. I drink a ton of water so I know what's not the issue either.

That just started for me yesterday. Kept thinking I was in labor. But I only have the tight uterus when I go from sitting to walking. Hips also feel like they are on fire..36 wks I can't go another month like this

Mine turned out to be contractions. I was 2 dialated two centimeters. I had the baby last week (week 35). I was sent to l&d and was induced due to preeclampsia.

I'm also 38 weeks and have been having the same thing. My Dr said to make sure you stay hydrated and rest. Drinking a lot of water should help!

I just posted about the same thing!! I'm only 36 weeks though so I'm really hoping it's nothing 😔😔 I would say just relax and if they get worse then maybe call labor and delivery? Or your doctor? Mine have gone down a little since I've showered and sat down.

I have had them for the last few weeks off and on. My doc did a non stress test on the baby for a different reason and I told them I felt them that time. The monitor showed uterine irritation.  They told me that it's normal and water helps.
