I'm 16 years old and a junior in high school. I've been catching public transportation (which costs $1.10) since freshman year and the other day I had a thought bubble pop Up and I realized I can catch the school bus  instead of wasting money. My dad believes that I am very sneaky and that when I say I'm going to one place I'm really going to another. So when I told him I'll be catching the school bus he figured that I'm only catching it because of friends or boys. How do I adress the situation?

Why would you take public tansportation to school when there is a school bus anyway? Doesn't he know guys can ride public transportation too? Lol.

Being a little too protective. I would just explain to him your reasoning for doing it and that no matter where you go there's boys.,. He's going to have to relax a bit because it's only going to get "worse" for him lol

Show him how much money you'll be saving and explain to him how a school bus is safer and more comfortable for you (more people your age). Let him know you aren't doing it for the boys but the practicality of it

My father is the EXACT same way. There is no reasoning with them. If you try to stay after school to finish a test, to your dad you're really staying after to see a boy. If you need to get there early to make up something or meet a teacher for something before class, to dad you're just seeing a boy. They're paranoid and ridiculous.
