Do you think it's okay to go through your spouse's phone?

My husband and I both have a passcode on our phones due to security reasons. But we both know each other's passcode and both have each other's thumbprint. Do you and your spouse/significant other actively go through each other's phone or just know the passcode? I don't go through his phone constantly but I have done it a few times in the 2+ years we've been together. So what do you and your spouse/SO do?
