Did you see your husband before your ceremony and take pictures? Or did you wait until you walked down the aisle to see each other and then do pictures?

I can't decide whether I should do our wedding pictures before the ceremony starts and we see each other before the ceremony or if we should wait and see each other at the alter and then do pictures afterwards. What did you girls do? I kinda wanted to do some pictures before our ceremony so that were not in a rush afterwards doing pictures. But my mother inlaw keeps saying we shouldn't see each other before it.
