sti check

Can you have an sti check if ur bleeding? I've had a very sore and itchy vagina and there was a white discharge I then got my period and wen it was over the pain got worse and it's been a week since my period stopped and now I'm bleeding again I didn't have a chance to go to doctor last week and now I'm bleeding but I'm worried I have and sti would the doctor still do a check if I'm bleeding? Help!
